Noah Schein is the most lovable, smart, and energetic young boy. When Noah was two years old we found out he had autism. This was a new journey for our family. As a mother I was scared and worried about Noah’s future. I immediately started researching and advocating for therapeutic help. Noah’s been receiving intensive therapy since he was two years old, receiving 30 hours + a week of different disciplines such as OT, PT SLP, feeding, and ABA. Since he started services, we have seen outstanding positive growth and improvements within his challenging behaviors along with his social and cognitive skills. During the Covid pandemic I lost my job and couldn’t afford Noah’s insurance. As a family we struggled to make his payments. I found Chicago Autism Network and applied for support during this devastating time. I was so worried that my son would regress during this time and needed help financially as Noah’s bill continued to grow by the day. Words can’t express how thankful I am for receiving this grant during this time of hardship. I will forever be thankful; thanks to your grant our son continues to flourish and thrive as he continues to receive therapy. You’ve helped me during a time I myself felt no hope, and felt I couldn’t help my son, which as a mother can be devastating. I want to thank you for allowing my son to continue to thrive. You have a huge positive impact on families, and I appreciate all you do.
Thank you.
