Reducing Challenging Behaviors

  • The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services 4312 W. North Ave. Chicago, IL (map)

Do you have a child who is engaging in challenging behavior (e.g., tantrums, aggression, self-injury, property destruction, etc.)? The Place for Children with Autism and The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services have partnered together to present this FREE workshop to help your family.

This workshop is geared towards families who have a child with autism or a related disorder. However, the event will be open to any family member or provider who is experiencing challenging behavior and would like to learn strategies at managing the behaviors. We will be discussing ways determine why the behavior occurs and the most appropriate ways to respond to the behavior. This workshop will be interactive, and you should leave the workshop feeling more confident on how to respond to challenging behaviors.

This workshop will occur on December 10th, 2019 at The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (4312 W. North Ave, Chicago IL) from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. There will not be childcare at this event.
