Autism & Medicaid: Accessing ABA Services

  • 10th Ward Alderman's Office 10500 S. Ewing Ave Chicago, IL 60617 (map)

Do you have a child with Autism and Medicaid Insurance? Are you looking for ABA services but have been told Medicaid will not cover such services? The Place for Children with Autism and Parents of Extraordinary Children have teamed up to present this free workshop to educate families on the process

Unfortunately, it is still the case that ABA (i.e., Applied Behavior Analysis) services are not covered by Medicaid in Illinois. This is alarming given that ABA is recognized as the most effective intervention by the US Surgeon General and by the American Psychological Association.

The Place for Children with Autism helps families with Medicaid access affordable insurance that covers ABA services. Currently, more than 60% of our families and clients have Medicaid and are receiving services in one of our 6 ABA clinic centers.

But how? This workshop is designed to educate and start the process of working together to obtain private insurance plans that will cover these critical ABA services. We will guide your family in choosing the right plans and then educate you in ways to cover the cost of those plans by leveraging available resources.

Important Note: These workshop series only occur one time per year. Open enrollment is from November 1st – December 15th so it is urgent to start the process NOW.
